Miranda “Randa Luv” Padilla is refreshingly fresh. It is that freshness that has allowed her to develop into one of the most sought after figures in urban entertainment. Randa Luv has over 500,000 views across the Internet and almost just as many impressions. Randa Luv’s ascent didn’t come over night, nor did it come easily. She is a bi-product of hard work and sacrifice.
Randa Luv’s Boston University education, and her Bronx, NY upcoming provide a foundation for an equal balance of street and book smarts. While at BU’s College of Communication, she majored in Television, with a concentration in Woman Studies. In addition to her studies, she worked for Russell Simmons, assisted in the launch of GlobalGrind.com, & polished her production skills while working on The Maury Show. She also co-hosted and executive produced a very popular radio show, Real Radio, on WTBU Radio, which focused on breaking underground Hip-Hop music.
Not soon after graduation, Randa established another show, PMS (Play My Shhh) Radio, which again focused on breaking underground Hip-Hop artists. Ever the opportunist, Randa decided to branch out and start a new endeavor, that being C’est La Vie (French for Such is Life) with co-host Tiffon Dior. This time with a concentration on lifestyle and pop culture, she brought the show to DTF Radio (www.dtfradio.com). It airs every Sunday at 7pm est. Most recently, Randa Luv joined forces with Maya the B and The Lovely J to form “The Syndies.” Setting the new standard for women in media and providing a voice on urban issues from the grown woman’s perspective, The Syndies quickly gained recognition for their show, The Syndicate. It airs every Friday at 6pm est. on www.thesyndies.com.
